WHY CHOOSE HYPNOSIS?

hypnosis melbourne flodidaOften times when one hears about the virtues of hypnotherapy or hypnosis, they may conjure up visions of people embarrassing themselves on a stage, clucking like chickens, doing some silly dance moves, or "pretending to be in love" with a stranger next to them. Who in their right minds would EVER want to subject themselves to something like that? Who, indeed! Unfortunately, it is this vision of stage (or "Hollywood") hypnosis that has kept many people who are searching for legitimate help with their problems, from getting the help they so genuinely want.

Clinical Hypnosis is a safe, effective, non-invasive and comfortable way for people to get the support they need, to control and change unwanted behaviors. While many have heard of the success stories of countless thousands who have stopped smoking or lost weight through hypnosis, most people do not realize that the same techniques can be applied to more than 200 other unwanted habits or behaviors that affect us!

From chronic insomnia, to stress, to nail biting, to increasing self confidence, to getting over a bad relationship, to studying more effectively, to achieving peak sports performance, to fears of flying or spiders, to focusing on achieving top career performance, or to learning new languages or skills--- all of these behaviors, and many more, can be influenced by using the techniques that a qualified Clinical Hypnotist offers their client.

Other than the very young (generally those under the age of seven), the elderly (generally those over eighty years of age) and those diagnosed with mental illnesses or certain genetic disorders that affect thinking processes (particularly those involved in attention), everyone can be hypnotized---provided it is THEIR idea and desire to do so. And here enlies the crux of the issue-YOU must be the one sincerely and seriously desiring the changes to be made --- not your significant other, your children or your boss!

Scientifically speaking, hypnosis "happens" when you enter a state of deep physical relaxation and enhanced mental awareness, where your unconscious mind is then able to bypass the "critical faculty" stage of your brain. Bypassing this stage allows you to focus on and accept the beneficial suggestions given by your therapist, to improve your life.

Prior to the first hypnosis session, "the Pre-Talk" takes place, where you and your therapist decide exactly what changes you are desiring and what the expectations should be. Your practitioner will then use the information that you have provided, to create a program uniquely fitting YOUR needs.

By focusing on one specific issue at a time, the results can often be achieved in just a few sessions. As with all changes in human behavior, the level of your commitment to make these changes is critically important to the outcome. Your practitioner cannot "magically" fix you. You are the one ultimately in control of making the changes happen.

Are you concerned about "not being in control" during your hypnosis session? Then it is helpful to understand that the relative level of hypnotic trance needed to make these changes allows you to stay aware of all things going on around you. Very much like a simple daydream, you will be able to hear any and all activities that are happening around you, throughout the session. So, if there was an emergency or you became uncomfortable during the session, you would be able to release yourself from the trance state, to do whatever you needed to do. You will NOT turn control over to your practitioner, but will work together as a team, to make the changes you desire.

You can rest assured, knowing your clinically trained and certified Hypnotist will do everything possible to ensure that your sessions are safe and comfortable, to further assist with your ultimate success. Which will leave YOU free to relax and enjoy the wonderful relaxation and "mind massage" that is a part of each and every session!

Hypnosis is an enjoyable, effective and proven method to instill changes in human behavior. Feel free to contact Susan at (321) 432-7267, to discuss concerns or issues that you may have regarding your future hypnosis session. Don't let the misconceptions stop you from enjoying the changes that hypnosis can make in your life!
